As part of Area of Study 1.3, the Religion and Society students in Year 10 and 11, were given the task to bring to life the journey of various religious traditions and spiritualities to Australia. This was done via an exhibition that they presented to their fellow classmates. In pairs, students selected a religious tradition or spirituality and after examining census data and government policies, presented interactive sessions that explained how their religion had adapted to life in Australia. Students will use the information and new understandings gained from learning from their peers to help them prepare for their upcoming outcome.

Jerusalem Day (Yom Yerushalayim) is an Israeli holiday commemorating the reunification of Jerusalem and the establishment of Israeli control over the Old City in June 1967. Jerusalem is known as ‘the city of gold’
This week we are celebrating Yom Yerushalayim in Gan Zayit, we have built a The Western Wall (HaKotel) and this morning baked biscuits in the shape of HaKotel, watched ‘Ha Kotel Live’ and we will be writing our wishes to put in our Kinder Kotel (pictured). On Yom Yerushalayim we will even enjoy ‘golden fruit’!
